[Kingston, Jamaica – Wednesday, September 2, 2026] Jamaica’s newest dancehall sensation DKoi, born Deshaun Jackson on September 4th 2004, grew up in the cool hills of Sugar Loaf, Hillside, found near Gordon Town in St Andrew, Jamaica. Known as the “Young Don” by his peers, DKoi is a proud alumnus of Mavis Bank High, receiving a sound education while developing a strong passion for music.
Professionally, DKoi became an artist in 2019; however, he has been exposed to the music industry from a tender age, practically growing up in the studio. His first recording ‘Summer Vibes‘, produced by Kanpe Tof Records, was released that same year, deciding from then on to pursue music wholeheartedly.
DKoi is determined to create a niche for himself and has prioritized building his brand. His sound is melodious and draws attention at his first utterance, channeling the sounds of the island that raised him, but also drawing inspiration from influences like John Legend.
More recently, DKoi has steadily been releasing new material for his fan base and coming to the media’s attention with his single ‘Inagram‘, produced by his own imprint Young Donz Entertainment, as well as ‘Elevate‘, produced by Zj Dymond.
Now in 2026, DKoi is under the management of Cashout International, a team preparing to release a fresh wave of new music, starting with ‘Symphony‘ in August. With a goal to portray his versatility through his music, he is ready to connect and relate to the wider world. DKoi is focused and knows what he wants.
